2 out of 5 eggs Works while it lasts

Pros: Good on a budget. Will run most games on a respectable graphical level.

Cons: I purchased this card for a build for a customer in September of 2013. In May of 2014, the computer was turning on and off, before refusing to boot entirely and not showing BIOS. After troubleshooting and switching to the mobo's video output, I determined that the card was shot.

Bottom Line: Nine months and it's toast. I expected more from a Saphire Radeon- now it looks like I'll be paying out of pocket for a replacement, as it's no longer covered by RMA.

5 out of 5 eggs Very happy with card

Pros: Pros - crystal clear graphics even on high settings.

Cons: Cons - Haven't had one yet.

Bottom Line: I play several very demanding games and have had not one issue with this card. I'm very impressed with the graphics and performance of this card. I'd recommend it to anyone.

1 out of 5 eggs Worked for Two Months

Pros: Worked great for around the first two months. Quietly too.

Cons: After only two months the card has been running rampant with problems. Crashing under very light load, even YouTube videos or low-calibur games. I've tried everything else with my PC and have boiled it down to the card itself.

Not a very good first impression from Sapphire. And as a first time buyer I'm not even entirely certain who to speak to about getting the thing replaced.

Bottom Line: Despite it's supposed power, it feels a little weaker than I had expected. DayZ stutters terribly with this card even when it was actually working.

Manufacturer Responses:

We are sorry that you are having these problems with your card. If your card does not operate correctly after Neweggs Return/Refund period then we deal with thr RMA. We hope that the RMA goes smoothly.

2 out of 5 eggs Constant Driver Crashes and Little Graphics Improvement: Not Worth the Low Price Tag

Pros: Very easy to install, though it is a little large--those with smaller cases may need to do some measuring before buying.

Relatively quiet for the decent-sized fan it has.

Cons: I got this to use GPU acceleration in several programs and it simply crashes every time I open them, unless I disable GPU acceleration. I've tried several different drivers, but I always get the same crash issues.

The software it comes with is somewhat of a resource hog as well, and doesn't improve performance or prevent crashes.

I honestly haven't noticed any performance increase over the old GeForce 7600GS this replaced.

There's also a weird glitch with Windows 8 when it turns the screen off. Instead of turning off the monitor, it glitches out and there are tons of random lines everywhere.

Bottom Line: I don't know it my card is messed up, though that seems somewhat unlikely since it works most of the time. I haven't had any luck getting in touch with AMD, so I'm going back to my old card until I find something better, that's not an AMD.

Manufacturer Responses:

We are sorry that you are having these problems with your card. It sounds like your card is not operating correctly. If your card does not operate correctly then we would recommend initiating an RMA with Newegg. We hope that the RMA goes smoothly.

5 out of 5 eggs Excellent card and purchase

Pros: Bought this card for my brother, and it immediately lowered his temps, while also increasing his frame rates and display quality. I've bought from Sapphire in the past, will do so again. On top of that, applying for the rebate was very simple, and the approved right away.

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggs Great Bang for the Buck

Pros: Handles all my Gaming requirements on both my 24" Monitor and my 50" Plasma. Despite another review to the contrary, I have no trouble running BF4 and have not encountered any heat related issues.

Cons: Probably should have waited for the price drops on the 7850's. Though not really a "Con" since I can add a second 7770 and run Cross Fire to boost performance.

Bottom Line: Will definitely be picking up a second one until the latest Cards get a significant price drop.

4 out of 5 eggs Great for $100. Cannot handle BF4.

Pros: It does everything a $100 graphics card should do. Handles daily works perfectly. Handles video games well.

Cons: It cannot handle Battlefield 4. Oh well, it's only $100, I should not ask for too much. Also I was expecting either an extra DVI or an extra HDMI.

5 out of 5 eggs Overall budget gaming value

Pros: Great Price to Performance Ratio
Runs modern games at Mid/High Settings at 1920x1080
Reasonable Power Draw
Smaller Size for most mITX or mATX
Reasonable Heat Generation
Great for many modern mid-level games, like MMOs, RPGs, MOBAs, and the like, as well as indie titles.

Cons: Not for gaming at Ultra settings
Not for gaming at beyond 1920x1080 resolution
Some new Shooters such as Metro: Last Light and Crysis 3 might have to be run at medium presets to average above 45 frames/sec.
Card can run hotter than expected, though its small size helps negate that as long as case cooling is sufficient.

Bottom Line: Overall, quite a lovely card, but please be aware of the card's limitations. I would not suggest attempting to overclock this particular card, as tempting as it might be.

I do hope Newegg gets more stock of this card, but if it remains out of stock, then the 7850 as well as MSI and Asus' models of this 7770 remain great price to performance competitors.

4 out of 5 eggs Still packs a punch

Pros: - Small
- Not a power hog
- Powerful
- Catalyst is pretty cool
- Quiet
- Doesn't run hot

Cons: - Trouble with setup*

Bottom Line: I installed this into my Father's desktop a while back along with an EVGA 500w PSU to make sure it had enough juice. When first turned I had a heck of a time adjust the ratio and even then the picture quality wasn't nearly as good as before. I had to tinker with it for a good hour or two to finally get it adjusted the way I wanted it, but even now it somewhat irks me. Other than that hiccup, it's a great card for doing everything on, maybe not ultra gaming, but it stands its ground against today's games pretty well.
