    8.1 WEI

    5 out of 5 eggs
Works well, as with the 2 other Intel SSD's I have (330 and 335). Haven't done any speed tests other than WEI. The 5 yr warranty doesn't hurt.

    Giant Improvement

    5 out of 5 eggs
Upgraded from standard drives. I waited a few generations to make sure all the bugs was worked out before making my purchase. This was a giant leap and intel's software makes updating the firmware and optimizing the hard drive super simple. I bought 2 drives. One for my OS, and one for my games. Increased boot speeds from 1 minute to 10 seconds. Games instantly open and loading areas take seconds. There are some who worry about the life span of these drives however it comes with a 5 year warranty. I say us it and abuse it and get your full monies worth.

3 out of 5 eggs Fast but crash prone with large writes

Pros: This drive is extremely fast with programs and boot. Works great except for when it doesn't work at all.

Cons: The drive was installed as a data drive and then an OS drive in a workstation and crashed nearly every time during large write operations.

Bottom Line: I hoped a firmware update would have fixed the crash issues but no luck.

5 out of 5 eggs Faster than my CPU

Pros: The CPU is now the bottleneck. Drive is so fast that my CPU stays at 100% many times. I have an Intel Core 2 Duo P8600.

    Cons: None.

Bottom Line: A must for gaming. However make sure your system can process the data as fast as it comes in.

5 out of 5 eggs Giant Improvement

Cons: SSD's are still a little too pricey for my liking.

Bottom Line: I run a i7 3770k, P8Z77 Asus mobo w/ 16gb of DDR3 2400 memory. I've run traditional disk drives for the lifespan of my gaming machine. If I knew then what I know now, I would have dropped the money on SSD drives a long time ago. This current generation of intel drives seem stable, fast, and well worth the money.

5 out of 5 eggs Great buy

Pros: I have 4x of these in a RAID0 as my primary OS HDD. My last PC was a single Intel 520 Series 180GB and these SSDs haven't given my any issues.

    Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggs upgraded my 840 to the intel 530

Pros: bought the OEM so it was cheaper,
I decided to upgrade my Samsung 840 120gb to a 240gb and contemplated between the evo and the 530
went with the 530 and its awesome you can actually feel the speed up from the Samsung 840 120gb.

Cons: non so far its works and installed perfectly

Bottom Line: always remember to make a 10~20gb partion that you will not use with the SSD's to keep them speedy and healthy
