2 out of 5 eggs not a good one

Pros: i buy 2 of this use only 3 day and one dead

Cons: i buy 2 of this use only 3 day and one dead

Manufacturer Response:

. Dear Customer We are sorry to hear you had such issues. This memory kit is above standard, so please make sure to configure settings in BIOS/EFI. Without the proper configuration, the memory may seem defective and cause errors. If you motherboard supports enhanced performance profiles, make sure XMP/DOCP/EOCP is enabled. Doing so will allow the motherboard to detect the basic RAM settings and automatically input them for you. Depending on CPU used, further tweaks may be necessary to stabilize the CPU memory controller. Should you need assistance with this, please feel free to contact us directly. The G.Skill support team will make sure the RAM is fast and stable in your computer. Thank you GSKILL SUPPORT Quality and customer service are our top priorities. 5 out of 5 eggs Very good RAM

Pros: I was maxing out my 4GB of RAM and decided to buy all new RAM instead of adding more sticks of the same type. I decided on the G.SKILL because of the good reviews and the specs. Well, I'm happy to say that this RAM lives up to my expectations, and I would easily recommend it to anyone looking at buying memory. And the heatsinks look cool too.

Cons: None, really. I guess the heatsinks might get in the way if you have a large CPU cooler.

Other Thoughts: I did have to set the speed/timings manually in the BIOS, but seems to be a pretty common thing. Also, 16GB is probably overkill, but I like knowing I'll never run out of memory.

5 out of 5 eggs 7.7 Windows Experience Index

Pros: Installed this to replace slower 1333 memory and it jumped my index rating to 7.7 so very satisfied with it recognized by bios but like so many not set to proper speed had to manually set the speed, it is a shame that mobo manufactures can't setup to auto adjust the speed

Cons: have to manually set speed in bios on my mobo

4 out of 5 eggs Unsure

Pros: faster than my old DDR2

Cons: none so far

Other Thoughts: My first DDR3. stock is 1333, but boosted up to 1600 immediately after setting up the board GIGABYTE GA-Z77X-UD4H.

Manufacturer Response:

. Dear Customer Thank you for your G.Skill purchase and review. Glad to hear you were able to set up the memory properly and it is now working well in your system. This is a high performance, high capacity memory kit, so you should be very pleased with the result. It is surely much, much faster than any DDR2 memory kit. With 16GB of DDR3-1600 CL9 installed, your computer will be capable of anything you put it to. Intense multi-tasking, gaming, editing, can all be done simultaneously without a glitch. 5 out of 5 eggs Works perfect.

Pros: Works like it should with no errors at XMP settings.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Reliable and perfect like always, I buy nothing but gskill for my client builds. In about 2 years I have had no set fail yet. Pretty great. They have awesome support forum on their website also just you have problems with timings on some boards that are not "officially" support gskill.
