2 out of 5 eggs Good while it lasted

    Pros: Looks great
    Nice features

    Cons: Dead

Bottom Line: I've had this monitor for less than 2 months and it died today. Way too expensive for something like this to happen.

5 out of 5 eggs LG 34 inch Dual HDMI 21:9 LCD monitor

Pros: Very nice, low footprint for base stand which is 10.5 inches wide and 7 inches deep. This fits on my flat surge protector on my desk. I use this for my Desktop computer and Xbox setup. This does require a video card that supports 2550 by 1080 resolution. I had to update my video card to accommodate. Comes with sound. The menu (on/off) button is easily placed at the bottom front of the monitor with easy access by finger tip. I also like the narrow frame as my monitor fits into a tight place and I do not need any excess side framing.

    Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggs LOVE this monitor

    Pros: Awesome picture.
    Love the split screen software.
    Great price - $459 :)
    Sturdy stand
    Easy setup

    Cons: None

Bottom Line: I expected a challenge after reading all the reviews, but didn't have any troubles at all. I used the DVI-D cable from the start so no backlight bleeding, no flickers, no resolution issues... Mine came with the DVI-D cable unlike some other reviewers last year.

4 out of 5 eggs Nice upgrade from dual 24" monitors

Pros: You gain a lot of screen real estate and it flows better than using a dual monitor setup. Settings are easy to accomplish and there are lots of them! I like the ability to adjust (2) Reader settings for ease of eye strain, and viewing both the Mac mini and Windows PC on one screen is fantastic! The 4-split screen is useful to mulitask emails and social media too. The 2560 x 1080 looks good and was immediately recognized using a Windows 7 HDMI connection.

Cons: The product shipped with only a Korean user manual! I had to go to the LG site to get the English version. Tilt only 5-20 degrees, no pivot or portrait mode available. Lost cut and paste capabilities with addition of dual screen software enabled in Windows 7. Must use DP connection on both monitor and Mac mini to gain expected resolution.

Bottom Line: The monitor I received had only a Korean user manual. I was able to get the English version off the LG site, in addition to the updated software for both Mac and Windows for split screen and dual link. Register product for 1 year warranty coverage.

5 out of 5 eggs Fantastic

Pros: Going from 2 28" TN panels to this is a huge step up. The colors are defined, precise, and almost pop out. I can easily see the slightest difference in contrast now. I no longer have to be directly in line with my monitor to avoid color shifting. I reclaimed a ton of desk space with this monitor, I can see my speakers again! Love the clear stand, the monitor looks like it's floating if you don't notice the base. I have a window right beside my desk, I can open the shade completely and still see what's on the monitor perfectly now. The design of the monitor is beautiful, I almost feel like it should be hanging on the wall like a piece of art.

Cons: It made me clean my desk, which was no easy task, thank you for telling me I'm a slob LG.

Bottom Line: Get it, you won't be dissapointed, unless you're like my ex, then nothing will ever fill the void where your soul should be, where was I, oh yea, the monitor is sublime!

5 out of 5 eggs Exellent Monitor

Pros: I have owned for 4 months and I am still impressed with it. I purchased from a competitor because of store credit. Great multitask monitor. The resolution, while not as good as the 34UM95, is more than adequate for everyday tasks, gaming, and document editing. Two word documents or web pages will easily fit side by side for office productivity. Height is similar to a typical 27" monitor, and the width is about a 1/3 larger. Picture quality is outstanding. Connection inputs are also good. The lower resolution enables use with less powerful graphic cards.

Cons: Photo/graphics editing may be the only activities where the superior resolution of the 34UM95 may be a must. Height does not adjust much and my be an issue. I experienced electrical back feed to the video card with computer shut down using the HDMI cable (LED's on video card were lit up with power off). Using duel link DVI cable or Display Port cable fixes this issue.

Bottom Line: Many reviews state that this monitor will not display at full resolution with the supplied HDMI cable. The 21:9 monitor is relatively new to the market. Older video cards may have trouble with this, particularly those built with HDMI 1.3 standards. I purchased a AMD R9 290 to drive this monitor and it set up and displayed flawlessly with HDMI.
Also, some reviewers state being able to notice the individual pixels because of the resolution. They MUST be fogging the screen with their breath! With a typical setup on a desk, your not going to notice. My monitor does not suffer the backlight bleeding that some reviews speak either. Games and movies look awesome! I get average frame rates in newer games of between 45-60 or better with all filters and eye candy turned on and maxed out. Newer titles should adjust automatically. Older ones may not support 2560 x 1080 or play with a "stretched" 1920 x 1080 resolution. Windowed mode is always an option.
This monitor is a bit pricey compared to a typical 27" dual monitor setup, but the overall experience is far better.

5 out of 5 eggs Beauty

Pros: I got this monitor on sale for $550. It was a big price to pay, and I had a lot of hesitation going in. I'm a college student on a budget, but I wanted a nice monitor. Studying to work on Game Design, I wanted something to perform the following:
    - Have accurate color reproduction
    - Have multiple inputs (Not going into this further for obv. reasons)
    - Have little to no ghosting
    - Have LOTS of screen real estate.

I was going to get the 29" right as this beauty went on sale. Here it is, about 2 months later, and I do not regret splurging on this whatsoever.

For gaming, there is little to no ghosting. I play Guild Wars 2, and this monitor is an outstanding addition. It's totally immersive as it fills nearly your entire field of vision (or, at least, what you generally pay attention to. It won't fill all of your peripheral).

I then fired up Photoshop and Unity, configuring setups. I found nice setups with both... with room to spare! The 21:9 ratio, I feel, helped a lot.

The color, also, was BEAUTIFUL when the brightness was high enough. I tend to turn it down to minimum brightness when I'm just staring at a wall of text or doing school work, but when working with color or playing a game, setting the brightness to ~30-40 percent gives an amazing experience.

...Even now I'm still impressed that an IPS panel has so little ghosting.

Cons: In regards to the cons... I'd like to start by saying this line.
    21:9 is NOT for everyone.
21 by 9 is NOT for everyone.
    21:9 IS NOT FOR EVERYONE.

For me, it was a perfect fit. However, I'd recommend weighing your options first. Due to the nature of screen measurements, this monitor doesn't have as much vertical height as you might expect initially. Find some online calculators and find the actual width and height of the monitors you're considering. This monitor has the height of... I believe it was a 27" 16:9 monitor. Don't quote me on that, though. I didn't actually do the math for it at the time of writing to double check the validity of that statement.

Another thing to consider is the overall size. Consider your desk. Will this beast fit? It's thin, but it's still huge. The panel itself is 31.25 inches WIDE. Then add the bezel. (The height is about 13 and a half inches or so, by the way).

Bottom Line: I almost regret not getting the 34UM95 instead, but I don't think my little GTX 660 could power that in games well enough for it to be enjoyable. If you have the graphics horsepower, save up for an extra few weeks and get the um95 instead, because you can see the pixels on this monitor if you get close enough.

Also, if you fall in love with 21:9, you'll never want to return to 16:9 or 16:10, and 4:3 will look absolutely abysmal. I don't think I can ever personally return to using 16:9 as my daily driver. The extra width is the best thing I could have asked for.

5 out of 5 eggs Incredible display!

    Pros: -Great picture and color
-The 21:9 ratio is good for productivity and gaming
    -Stand is sturdy and sleek
    -Thinner bezel looks nice
-No ghosting or bleed in any of the 4 corners

Cons: Power/Menu is a little strange as it's one button that works like a D-Pad on a game controller. Took a bit of getting used to, Still 5 eggs hands down!

Bottom Line: I bought this monitor mainly for gaming, and some reviews had me worried about the ratio and support. I've had it for a month now and had no issues with it other then some menus being chopped. Display looks gorgeous and I don't think I'll be able to go back to standard screen ratios! Get this, you won't be dissapointed!!!

Pros: big screen, nice color. no shortages. great for games and movies. awesome!

Cons: not at all so far.

Bottom Line: maybe 34um95 is better... but a 4K resolution need a better video card.

5 out of 5 eggs Great!

    Pros: Large size
    Great resolution
    Cool split screen software
    Price

    Cons: None so far

Bottom Line: I love the size of this monitor. It's replacing two 25" HP xis. The resolution has It's great for watching movies and hasn't been bad for the games I play: (Mortal Kombat, Batman Arkham Origin, Grid 2, etc).
The software actually works with all programs. I had a 29" widescreen and it's split screen software only worked with IE and windows explorer!
