    Decent Cables

Be careful installing these cables. Make sure you seriously hold in the metal clip while installing, if not the wall of your motherboards SATA connector may break, like mine did. Although the plastic side wall snapped on one of the connectors ... Read more

    Quick Info

The BYTECC Model SATA-118C delivers fast transfer speed while consuming only 500mV power, reducing your electrical bill as well as protecting the environment. The locking latches secure your connection solidly eliminating accidental loss.

    • newegg Lower voltage signal level The level of voltage to the Serial ATA is of differential 500 mV, and it's more suitable for PC's technical request than that of 5 Volt Parallel ATA, and it can save more power as well.
    • newegg Pin Pitch Advantage Serial ATA connector includes a line of 7Pin signal terminal and a line of 15Pin power terminal. These two lines of terminals can be detached to the freestanding tie-in, therefore, it not only reduces its body size but also enlarge is trans-positional space.
    • newegg Transferring Speed Advantage It almost has no potential to fasten the transferring speed of Parallel ATA. But for the Serial ATA, the transferring speed for its incunabular design is 150MB/s, and now it is striding forward to the speed of 300MB/s and even up to 600MB/s.

3 out of 5 eggs Works

Pros: It works can't complain too much but I also bought Okgear I can say Okgear feels noticeably better.

Cons: In terms of quality of the locking and cable when compared to Okgear's product I would say Okgear is noticeably better.

5 out of 5 eggs It's a SATA Cable that Works

Pros: Used it to add another hard drive to my desktop and it plugged in firmly and works great.

    Cons: None

Bottom Line: I went with the straight end (not the 90 degree) because I had this new drive installed pretty close to the one already in my computer; if I had used a cable with a 90 degree end, the two SATA cables from the drives might have been in each other's way. It's just something to think about.

5 out of 5 eggs Work as advertised, if not better

Pros: - They lock into place
    - Great quality
    - Fairly Priced
    - Got them on sale
    - Correct size, plus more than enough slack to be reused on larger cases.

Cons: - no cons as of yet

Bottom Line: I previously was using Asus Sata cables that came with my Mobo; the locks on the Asus cables kept slipping, whereas these you hear the click, and you can feel they're strongly in place.

5 out of 5 eggs Locking latch excellent

Pros: I have a problem with most locking latches on SATA cables, as they are plastic and you have to press real hard to make them release. These metal ones work easily and have a crisp snap when they engage. No doubt when they engage and open.

    Cons: none

5 out of 5 eggs Appears to be a cable

Pros: I am not entirely sure, but this appears to be a SATA cable.

    Cons: Got fresh with me.

5 out of 5 eggs Nice

Pros: Works well and does what it's supposed to. Could be a bit longer, I had to get creative with wiring routes since I have a full tower but not really a con since it was indeed 18" as advertised. Locking latch is nice.

    Cons: Nope.

Bottom Line: Does what it's supposed to do
