4 out of 5 eggs Great product with a peculiar feature.

Pros: -Pretty cheap
-Lots of power

Cons: -Not sure if a con but, my gpu's fans keep spinning even if my PC is off. My original PSU doesn't do this and I'm not sure if its a huge waste of energy.

4 out of 5 eggs great product!

Pros: Great for upgrading your video card without needing a new PSU.

Cons: could have been 5 if they included the right adapters. only issue with is that it came with the old IDE connectors that I had to rig my own adapter to use the current SATA plugs.

Bottom Line: could have been cheaper, $90 just to run additional cards specially for prebuilt systems.

5 out of 5 eggs Extra Power.

Pros: Extra 450W added powering the Custom Water Cooling loop instead of putting strain on the main PSU, which is used for a 3 way SLI rig. Great all around, no burnout or such.

Installed in a Cooler Master Haf-X, so the X in the front of the PSU fit perfectly with the rig.

Cons: The light in the front doesn't stay the same color every time you off and on. Adjustable though.

5 out of 5 eggs It's hardware...

Pros: * Allows multiple GPUs if you can't afford a PSU upgrade.
* Works as advertised. I am able to SLI two GTX 480s with this PSU and a Corsair TX750: One 480 powered by my old PSU, the other 480 powered by the FSP X5.
* Heat generation is acceptable for my setup. I run a fan controller with temperature probes built-in and this device never gets above 120F (49C) under load at the back vent. It exhausts into the case, but if you have adequate ventilation you should be golden.

Cons: * Exhausts into the case: While the output temperature is acceptable for me, the added heat may cause issues with inadequately ventilated cases. At 120F (49C), I can't remove an egg for this.

* The front face-plate is gaudy. I can't stand the way it looks. Fortunately, I have a desk that hides the front of the case. Not worth an egg as the hardware works and works efficiently. Like other reviews, I wish the manufacturer would offer other skins. I'm too old to care though. It works.

Bottom Line: Overall I'm super impressed. There are tons of rave reviews on this piece of hardware and it delivers. I can deal with the gimmicky look if it means that I can upgrade my setup without having to rewire my entire case. I chose to SLI two GTX 480s and I knew that they were going to eat my old power supply for breakfast. But, I paid what I paid for my PSU shortly after release, several years ago, and this was cheaper than buying a 1000+ watt new power supply. After all, hardware is a terrible thing to waste.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Easy way to SLI

Cons: None

Bottom Line: It runs my second SLI card and nothing else. The thing that I really like is that unplugging this power supply and booting lets me completely turn off second card when I don't need it. Once you need it again plug it back.

5 out of 5 eggs 7970s, No Problem

Pros: The supplemental PSU performs as advertised! It fits snugly in the 5.25 bay, has plenty of length on it's power supply cord and the PCIe cables that go to cards.

Cons: None, except that the color on the front doesn't keep the color you want by default. There are 7 color choices, but everytime you turn the computer off, it steps one color through the gamut. It is a slight annoyance that you have to make it the color you want each time.

Bottom Line: I have a 3690X overclocked to 4.8GHz and (4) Sapphire 7970s overclocked so my 1250W Seasonic PSU was getting pretty close to its limit, so I bought this unit to help out. I have it controlling the extra PCIe power for one of my cards and it works like a charm!!!

4 out of 5 eggs Perfection in a box.

Pros: A breeze to setup. Looks slick/fancy. Nice and quiet.

Cons: Everything has to have one problem. For this item it would only have to be that it has to be the tightest fitting 5.25" bay item ever. I have a Cooler Master case with fancy quick release rails for the bays which could of been the problem, but either way my optical drives fit nice but this guy took some strong arming to get it to slide in. (my wife came and took the dog up stairs because i started yelling and throwing stuff.)

Bottom Line: Did a lot of reading on the inter-webs to find out all i could on running crossfire video cards. When i ordered my current PSU it said SLI/Crossfire ready but when i did my research i found it it didn't pack the power needed to run Crossfire 6870 video cards. I didn't wanna drop the coin on a $200+ PSU just to run one extra video card. This item was recommended to me by a friend and i must say it fit the job perfectly. I am able to run both my video cards off it (both are XFX 6870's / one is dual fan the other in single) with out a problem.

1 out of 5 eggs Bought this for SLI build

Pros: Seems to power 2 GTX 460s (see below)

Cons: High pitched noise coming from unit (see below)
For SLI configuration, cards must be exact same manufacturer (again, see below)

Bottom Line: When I first installed this unit, I also installed two GTX 460s (same card specs, different manufacturers). The unit seemed to power the cards fine, however, when I would try to shut the system down, it wouldn't. I would have to physically push the power button to get it to shut down. So, I purchased two GTX 460s from the SAME manufacturer and that problem went away. However, now after 1.5 months of use in my gaming rig, I started to notice a high pitch noise coming from my system. I isolated the noise and found it is coming from this graphics PSU. My rig is relatively quiet, so the sound is very noticeable. Will contact the manufacturer to see what my options are and will keep my fingers crossed. Also, sent in the rebate for this immediately after my purchase and have yet to receive any kind of notice that it has been received and/or in process. Won't hold my breath on it, though.
