    SSD's can now be standard!

Price. This is the first 16nm SSD. AnandTech does a good review stating that the process that makes these NAND chips different is same thing Intel did (high-K/3D NANDa). Anyways these are great for the consumer. Drives that are affordable and ... Read more

5 out of 5 eggs Best Bang for Buck

Pros: Recently bought this for a expensive custom built gaming setup so I can boot faster and put basic programs on it for a faster general experience. Windows boots to the login screen in 3-4 seconds and after I type my password it goes instantly to desktop and I can click on my internet browser instantly. The other programs I have on this SSD are similarly fast.

    Cons: None so far.

Bottom Line: Buying a SSD is a really smart decision. All the main programs (Internet, Steam, etc) will load much faster plus windows will boot in like 15% of the time of a 7200rpm HDD.

5 out of 5 eggs Works flawlessly

Pros: Speed, price (for an SSD). Crucial's SSD are considered the best for a reason.

    Cons: None.

Bottom Line: This drive was used in a desktop build using Windows 8.1 and has more than done its job. I'm now looking to get another one for an older Windows 7 desktop.

    5 out of 5 eggs MX100 SSD

Pros: Works well. About 5 times faster than the platter drive. Easy install with the download ISO Windows 7 and my license. Its an OEM License and it activated just fine after a clean install.

Cons: None really. Even had the spacer needed for a laptop drive bay

Bottom Line: Switching over to a SSD on older laptops is a good move. Even if is a SATA II C2D it will make a big difference

5 out of 5 eggs Makes an old laptop very usable

Pros: brought a laptop from 2007 back to life.

    Cons: None

Bottom Line: For the work I do, I needed a laptop with a 4:3 aspect ratio display. Unfortunately, they are no longer made. I bought a refurbished laptop with a core 2 duo 2.00ghz chip (circa 2007). It was painfully slow even with a 7200rpm HDD. Note that the spec on this laptop is SATA I, so its not even taking full advantage of SATA III. However, this laptop is now very usable. Boot times and speed seem to be on par with a new core i3 laptop with an HDD.

5 out of 5 eggs I have been spoiled

Pros: NEVER GOING BACK TO MECHANICAL DRIVES I HAVE BEEN SPOILED WITH THIS.
This SSD is the bee's knees. his legs, and his arms! I can boot into Windows 7 64 bit in 15 seconds (only because I haven't turned off the BIOS screen). I only use this drive for my OS so I can't really tell you anything about the read or write speed. Pretty much all I can tell you is that I've used mechanical drives my whole life, and I am extremely pleased with my purchase.

    Cons: No complaints here

Bottom Line: Why haven't you added this to your cart yet?

5 out of 5 eggs Great value

Pros: Great value. Decent performance for the price, loads Windows and games really fast.

Cons: Not as fast as the 256/512gb version.

Bottom Line: I installed Windows 8.1 on this SSD and the OS loads in about 5 seconds now and games load super fast. I am satisfied with the performance of this drive based on the price I paid.
