    Nice RAM, Bad QA

G.SKILL apparently has bad QA. I've had two sets fail on me now. The heat spreaders stick up just a bit too much. I would likely not be able to fill all four of my slots with this RAM, as one stick doesn't look like it'd fit under the CPU ... Read more

5 out of 5 eggs 6 months & running strong

Pros: It runs at advertised speed and CAS in XMP mode
CL 9 is great for 1600
    True plug and play
    Quick shipping form Newegg

    Cons: None

Bottom Line: Great RAM. I'm running two kits for a total 32GB. Make sure you check your rmobo list to see if this RAM is compatible list. If so, I'd recommend it. I'm not a gamer, I'm an editor, and I often use 25 to 30 GB at the high end. No probs.
This one's a no brainer; it's a great offering from GSKill that doesn't bust the bank

3 out of 5 eggs Blue Screens on Asrock Z97M-ITX/ac

Pros: Looks nice. Probably works fine in another system.

Cons: With both dimms in, I get a blue screen at boot on an Asrock Z97M-ITX/ac. This continues blue screening and looping until it warms up, after about 3 minutes the BSOD's stop and it's super stable. With only 1 stick in it rarely blue screens. Have eliminated specific slots and specific dimms with extensive testing. 1 is ok, 2 is a no go until it heats up. Kind of regret not just purchasing memory that was on the mem compatibility list.

Bottom Line: Rating a 3 because I fell it may just be a compatibility issue. Still, I would have hoped these would work since they are in spec. I tried everything from slowing them down to upping the voltage. It doesn't like 2 of them in there.

    Manufacturer Responses:

. Dear Customer We will be glad to help with this issue. When having strange stability problems, always check for the latest BIOS/EFI. Updates are commonly released to improve compatibility. The AsRock motherboard should be able to support 16GB of DDR3-1600 without a problem. Since the memory specifications are above standard, make sure to enable XMP Profile in BIOS/EFI. If each module works fine individually but not together, you may need to try some other RAM to see if it works any better. If not, it may be a defective motherboard. Generally if each module works fine individually in a system, they should work fine together. For all further questions or concerns, please feel free to contact us directly. 5 out of 5 eggs Works Great

Pros: Works as Intended, no issues! G.Skill has yet to fail me!

    Cons: None

Bottom Line: Make sure you do your research on your Processor and Motherboard. Crucial scans tell you the max your board can handle for any situation, but your processor may not be able to handle some speeds. I can OC my board (Asus Crosshair Formula V) to handle faster RAM, but my processor would not be compatable.

    4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Working good so far, looks great in the case. Good performance for the price.

    Cons: None yet

Bottom Line: Wish I'd have paid attention, didn't notice it was 1600 until I got it.

5 out of 5 eggs Nice Looking Ram

Pros: I'll admit, half the purchase appeal was the looks. 2nd was because I wanted 16GB of ram and when I sorted by popularity and/or featured, this was at the top with a great price and (many) great reviews. So far no issues, will be running MemTestx86 this weekend for 12h. Hopefully I won't need to change my review.

Cons: None so far. Bit hard to get out of the plastic package, was worried I'd break them.
