5 out of 5 eggs Great board

Pros: I love this board. I bought it to use with my CNC. It has a proper parallel port and works great. The Ultra Durable feature set was important to me because of my application.

    Cons: nope

5 out of 5 eggs Works well, no surprises

Pros: It just works. Fast boot, connectors are mostly well-laid-out for mini-ITX cases. It does the job I wanted it for, which was to run xbmcbuntu and let me watch Breaking Bad without Breaking the Bank.

Cons: These are all low-priority issues for me, but I'll put them here anyway:

    - CPU is not meant to be upgradable.
    - CPU isn't really overclockable. Granted, I didn't try all that hard, but the few options in the BIOS didn't seem to do much.
    - It's a little underpowered for certain things. 1080p/30fps video files will occasionally peg both cores, resulting in a few dropped frames. I have not tweaked the system much yet to try to fix this.
    - No frills on the board or in the box. You get a motherboard, two sata cables, a rear panel shield, a driver dvd, and a manual. That's it. Some of the nicer motherboards have some extras like jumper helpers, but this is a budget board.
    - PCI slot, not PCI-e. Fine if you can find something to put in it, but good luck with that.
    - No USB3.

None of these were really surprising to me. I paid less than the cost of most of the AMD APUs for this board, and got pretty much what I expected.

Bottom Line: This board will not dispense beer, make you a sandwich, or smite your enemies from afar. It will sit in a corner of your room and process whatever you throw at it in pretty decent time, and it'll do so on a very modest budget (both fiscally and watt-fully).

5 out of 5 eggs Reasonably low power, resonably usable

Pros: Small, lower power, works fine for secondary system or light desktop. Has UEFI but also works in BIOS mode. Works fine with Linux. Oh, and reasonably inexpensive, too.

Cons: BIOS races towards boot too quickly, makes it exciting trying to catch it working blind because the LCD hasn't sync'd and unblanked yet. Not an issue once everything is configured; then it's a plus, especially with the system on an SSD partition.

Bottom Line: Works fine for a bedroom system, flash games, online video, all the usuals. Would not recommend for heavy 3D modeling, high-resolution 3D games, etc. :-)

Oh, the ports/expansion are a little bit tilted towards legacy - COM port in back panel, even a parallel port, and the one slot is PCI, not PCIe. None of that is a drawback for my use, YMMV.

5 out of 5 eggs Great XPEnology server!!!

Pros: Pros: Fast Boot. Super Quiet Fan. 4 Sata II ports. Dual Bios (Bios Backup - really works.) Mini-Itx size. Low Power draw. No Drama. Recommended build for XPEnology. 3 Year Warranty. Way faster than my old Atom (running WHS 2011.)

Cons: Cons: PCI slot, not PCIe. Realtek Lan (8111E) instead of Intel on HIgher end boards. No speaker (for Bios error codes - oh wait, this is UEFI bios, maybe that's why?) No USB3 (but I don't need it.) Capacitors seem cheaper than what I'm used to with Gigabyte boards. They don't look like the Quality Japanese caps from other Gigabytes.

Bottom Line: Other: Streams 1080p no problem, as expected.
