1 out of 5 eggs Really bad spindle storage

Pros: No problems with burning DVDs

Cons: Absolutely the worst storage method for the blank DVDs. Totally inconvenient. Instead of the normal plastic cover to the spindle of DVDs, Phillips has save a couple of pennies by using a paper cover around the DVDs and a screw-on plastic top with a handle. With the normal DVD covers, you just twist and lift the cover to get to the DVDs. With the Phillips el cheapo, you have to unscrew the top, pull off multiple clear circular plastic (to protect the DVDs I suppose -- since eliminated all but 1), take off the paper cover surrounding the DVDs, and finally lift out a blank DVD. You go through all of this in reverse to reassemble the spindle. I will never, I repeat never, buy Phillips DVDs again.

5 out of 5 eggs Excellent Media Storage!

Pros: Burned through these in no time backing up data and did not make any frisbee's!

It's always a good idea to back up important data to disc's every now and then. Long term storage on hard drives is not always the best idea.

It is worth the time to burn your pictures and videos every to disc every few months..

I have seen too many people keep everything on their phones, laptops and tablets, only to lose everything when a failure or damage occurred!

If you are having trouble, try burning at a slower speed.

DVD burners do not last forever and since they have become so inexpensive these days it is a good idea to replace yours every few years if you use them frequently and do a lot of burning!

    Cons: None at all!

5 out of 5 eggs Just works

Pros: Good quality product. have used Philips media for quite a wile and frankly unless the system hiccups I've never had a bad burn.

Cons: none really, Don't really care about there new packaging. Don't think it provides enough protection (IMO) one the package is opened. I just used an older container that completely encases the DVDs

5 out of 5 eggs Great Product

Pros: They are very well made disks and the storage system was very good. I have had no issues with errors or writing issues yet and am overall very satisfied with the quality for the excellent price.

4 out of 5 eggs Great Package

Pros: The spindle package is one I haven't seen before. Threaded at the top, a plate with handle screws down onto the stack. Nice. Easy to carry, holds the disks securely. I'll probably keep and use it for years.

The disks seem fine, but see below.

    Cons: None of consequence.

Bottom Line: In my DVD-RW, burning these disks at 16X is unreliable. I can't be entirely sure it's the disks; quite possibly my writer is at fault, but it has previously been reliable. In any case there's nothing uncertain about my results: I get about 50% failure at 16X, and none at all at 12X. I've burned about 15 of these disks so far; with 3 coasters at 16X.
