After storing them about 8 months. Virtually every one of these discs have read errors on the first part of the disc. The later portions seem to read fine. I now have to recover a couple terabytes of data stored on these discs and parity ... Read more

    5 out of 5 eggs Great BD-R

    Pros: - Cheap
    - No failures
    - Very good price/Quality ratio

    Cons: - none

Bottom Line: In case you don't know, these are made by Optodisc who were acquired by Vinpower Digital (Optical Quantum). Optodisc also makes discs for the "Plexdisc" brand. The MID is the same. Plexdisc cost more though. For Optical Quantum, their 4x are made by Phillips. The 6x are made by Optodisc. Quality scans that I've searched for on the internet show that Optodisc are better than Phillips. Concerning longevity, I've tested discs that I burned in 2012 (5 years ago) and they still play flawlessly. I can rip them with zero "slowdown," which suggests that the burner is having trouble reading the disc. Opti Drive Control also returns great results.

There is another recent review on here by someone claiming that the discs don't last. I don't find that to be the case. It's probably just his burner. I saw this based on personal experience. One time I had a DVD burner going bad. It would successfully burn, but the laser was going bad so the burns were not very good. About a year after burning, I could only read the dvds on a brand new Liteon drive. My other drives couldn't read it. This is probably what happened to him. Even Verbatims will produce poor quality burns if the burner is shot.

1 out of 5 eggs Don't trust these for long term use

    Pros: Cheap price
They seem to burn successfully each time and verification works well

Cons: I took one disc which I burned a while back ~ 1 year+ and could not get to the last part of the disc. This disc was the 4X medial which had an ID of PHILIPS. They were supposedly better over the 6X made by a different manufacture. It wasn't anything really important but had it been pictures or something that I needed, 1 not readable disc is enough for me to not trust it.

Bottom Line: I don't know if it's just the nature of Blu Ray media since Riteks and Windata also have had this issue in the past as well. May be better backing up to a HDD as a backup to the backup.

5 out of 5 eggs Awesome Value!

Pros: - over 100 blurays burned not 1 coast
    - really cheap

    Cons: - none so far

Bottom Line: I didn't think these would be any good, because of how cheap they were on sale. I bought 6 packs of 50, and have burned 100 blurays so far, without a problem. I have an LG burner, and haven't had a problem with these being read again, or just burning data on them.

5 out of 5 eggs Good, low cost discs.

Pros: I bought these to backup all of my movies. I have burned 5 discs using K3B at 8x speed so far with no problems.
They will let me burn faster than the rated 6x speed in my WH14NS40 drive.

Cons: They only hold 23.3GiB of data.

5 out of 5 eggs Good price good quality

Pros: I've burned 2 of these almost full discs at 6x (and 6x is sloooooooow, approx 41 minutes to burn 23gb) but both discs read fine even in my Ps3
    They come on a spindle
6x speed (these burn fine @ 6x on my LG WH14NS40)
    Pristine disc surface

Cons: Cannot fit entire contents of disc on label, no real complaints about the discs though

Bottom Line: I've only tested 2 but they burn and read fine on my LG bluray burner, at a cost of about $1 a disc all in.

5 out of 5 eggs Buy these with long term use/storage in mind

Pros: I've burned hundreds of these over the course of the past 3 years (almost exclusively using Imgburn) and I've gone back for data on the early burns and the files that I store there have md5sums that match what I recorded years ago. You can't ask for much more than that, in my opinion. For the record I'm using a Pioneer BD-RW BDR-209D drive (with its original firmware from 2013) to burn them and using Windows 7 and Linux Mint (using Imgburn under Wine). My wife and a friend have used these with Macbooks and have had similar experiences. Also, I make it a point to burn all Blu-ray media at 2x speed, regardless of brand. The only bad burns I've had were my own fault.

    Cons: None for me.

Bottom Line: It's worth noting that I've also purchased these for other friends who have had the same experience as I have. These discs have never produced a bad burn for me or anyone I know.

It is also worth noting that I (and other folks I know) use these almost exclusively for long term storage and not for everyday use .

5 out of 5 eggs GREAT DISKS!!!!!!!!!

Pros: I ordered these and have used about 30 of them so far. Not 1 bad burn. The disks seem to be high quality and if you can get them for $14 like I did scarf them up !!!! THEY ARE GREAT!!!

Cons: I don't know about long term yet maybe I'll update this in a few years if I think about it about how well the burn holds to these disks. But honestly I don't believe this to be an issue.

5 out of 5 eggs Videography

    Pros: I love this product:
    1. Due to the price is good better than other product.
    2. I have use this DVD and BluRay for over 5 year now do not have any problem at burn 200 or 300 DVD see one bad.
I am use about 1000 Disc per year for my customer.
    3. Be aware. I use other burn brain do burn well but do not play with other DVD or Blu-ray. But when I am look to reference on manufacture recommend it is work well, for me I burn with LG WH14N540 DVD and Blu-ray.

Cons: what i do not like about this product the print over the top of DVD is over the center point when I print label stick to the top DVD or Blu-Ray it show over lay label.

Bottom Line: I will recommend this product to friend and other professional to use this Item.
