    Great product!

I was skeptical for the price, but it turned out to be an amazingly built product. I plan on buying another, 14 is a steal for these. The build quality is defiantly above expectations. extremely easy and quick to change hard drives in the ... Read more

5 out of 5 eggs Happy

Pros: Convenience ! Price ! Same as SNT 125BK but like others have said the release button is different. Still works with older SNT 125BK.

Cons: My problem over the years with these units has been with the fan. They start making lots of noise.

Bottom Line: Breathing a sigh of relief that these units are still available. This is the must have piece of hardware that has made everything easier when transferring files between drives.

5 out of 5 eggs Repalcement for SNT 125BK

Pros: Having installed from newegg several SNT 125BK 5.25" enclosers for hot swapping 3.5" SATA disks, I was pleased to experience the DK-1220SEBK being interchangeable in our workstations. While the release button is different, as well as its having a key lock, the catridge is interoperating with the the ealier newegg offered SNT 125BK

    Cons: none noted to date

Bottom Line: These two product may have come out of the same factory, the instruction sheets appear close to identical, with the latest drawing being somewhere between the two products.

5 out of 5 eggs Simply WOW! - part 2

Pros: Easy install, Easy swap, Quiet fan with vent holes in front.

Price 1/2 to 1/4 of other makers

Cons: Little Documentation, Small Gap above drive bay - less than 1/8", u doesn't bother me but if a hardcore Type A person u might.

Bottom Line: This product is mostly plastic EXCEPT for the front and handle of the bay, where it matters.

If you use these or any swap drive for boot drives - USE IDENTICAL HARD DRIVES, it makes life much easier.

I am a quadriplegic, and I talked my 13 year old little brother through the installation without a hitch.

4 out of 5 eggs Not Bad

Pros: Easy to install and removable tray lock and cooling fan are nice features

Cons: had to mod to fit my 2.5" SSD into it

Bottom Line: I bought this for a SSD to begin with, thinking the holes were going to match up but i was wrong and had to drill my own which was a pain because i had to offset the drive to make it line up perfectly so ended up drilling about 8 holes to find the sweet spot. 3.5" drives mounted factory and slid in nice and easy i just wish they thought of pre-drilling 2.5" drive holes in the appropriate spot

5 out of 5 eggs Absolutely Perfect

Pros: This rack makes swapping drives simple. I've used it many times since I first installed it and it's a breeze. Dismount the drive, hit the power button and pop out the drive. It's that simple.

The fan does a good job of keeping the drive cool.

    Cons: None

Bottom Line: I won't put a hard drive inside a case any more. I always use racks like this to make drive changes simple.

1 out of 5 eggs Hit or miss getting working unit

Pros: None. Other than Newegg is usually good for straight-up RMA's.

Cons: DOA right out of the box, shipping for an RMA adds 50% to the price...

5 out of 5 eggs Nice unit

    Pros: Works exactly as advertised.
    Quiet fan.

Cons: Lock can be opened easily with just a finger.

Bottom Line: Hot swap works with windows 7 x64 Ultimate and "Hotswap!" utility by Kazuyuki Nakayama.

    Hits 37 degrees C max with a TOSHIBA PH3200U-1I72 2TB 7200 RPM drive.
