    I Love This Monitor

This is a great all-round monitor for work and gaming. It has plenty of screen area to spread my windows out when working (software development). The panoramic (21:9 aspect ratio) form factor and size fills my field of vision while playing ... Read more

    Top Critical Review

Looks great, except for backlight bleed

Blacklight corner bleed is a big problem for these. Mine is right on the edge of where I may send it back. If I was using it for movies, I'd have to. For games, it might be barely acceptable or I might end up hating it in another week, don't ... Read more

5 out of 5 eggs Awesome monitor - and NO GAP as when using TWO smaller monitors side-by-side

    Pros: Easy setup -
    Ultra Wide Screen
    Both HDMI and Display-Port inputs
Great color rendition (I do tweak it with a Spyder colorimeter)
    Pretty good blacks !

Cons: Only 2 height adjustments on the stand
Cannot rotate the screen 90 degrees with the enclosed stand (don't know why you would even want to, though)

Bottom Line: I got this monitor through NewEgg when I suspect they were removing it from their inventory
The deal was quite good - about 25% off the currently listed price of about 1K
I suspect THAT deal will be nigh on impossible to beat !!
    Highly Recommended.

1 out of 5 eggs Junk

    Pros: Excellent colors and response.

Cons: I've had this monitor for about a year and a half and now it's glitching and goes blank for a few seconds every so often. It makes a loud pop when it glitches out. The back light bleed wasn't as bad as some of the pictures I've seen but was noticeable in some situations.

Bottom Line: Can't purchase an extended warranty outside of the one year manufacturers. It's an absolute shame that a 150 dollar monitor I've had for 7 years works perfectly and this 1000 dollar enthusiast monitor is already defective. Their support is absolutely terrible and will try any trick in the book to deny your problem. From now on I will look elsewhere when I spend my money.

5 out of 5 eggs Great Display, Read Specs Carefully

    Pros: - Great color
    - Crisp & not blurry
    - Appropriate energy use
    - Many types of display connectors

Cons: - Dual display feature is annoying to toggle through menu, can't control which devices are on which side either.
    - I do get backlight bleed in the corners, but very minor in my case & I don't mind

Bottom Line: Purchased from an Adorama holiday deal for $549.99 (after rebate of $50), I was incredibly happy with this display. I'm actually getting a video card with more vRAM to support this resolution properly. The $899 that this site is selling this for is a total rip off in my opinion. Here are some further notes for PC gamers:

    - This display DOES NOT have G-Sync or FreeSync support, although other LG models do, but I scanned the specs and realized this, I personally chose to go with it anyway because the price was right.

    - I was using a GTX770 2GB at first (highly do not recommend). I had to fully disable all AA settings to get things to run anywhere close to an acceptable level (or ran in 2560x1080). Upgraded to an R9 290X 8GB (4GB should be fine for most current games unless AA is pushed past 4x).

    - If you are looking to overclock the display to increase refresh rate, you will not have any success, at least at 3440x1440. It is stuck at 60hz as the specs indicate, not a big deal for me personally.

    - For games that do not support ultrawide resolutions, they often center in the screen (black sides). If they do not, you can use a setting in this monitor for 16:9 ratio zoom (also black sides).

    - Maybe this was addressed in newer manufactured devices, but the blacklight bleed in the corners is not too bad, but it is there. I play Elite Dangerous as well, I was not disappointed by the image quality of this display. (Please go find your nearest black hole :D )

1 out of 5 eggs LG 34UM95, IPS Glow Light Bleed

    Pros: BLACKLIGHT BLEED

Cons: I just got my second monitor from RMA sand it has terrible glow in the bottom left hand corner. Seems to be very common. I honestly play Elite dangerous and other games that tend to be dark and it was awful. If it didn't have the bleed it would be the perfect monitor.

Pros: This LG 34UM95 IS AWESOME, these are 2 way which cannot do and can do.

Try yourself, these are no problem at all

Cons: i feel great about LG 34UM95, i like Dual-link and WIDE is amazing
i don't seen problem at all, i make my building Monster Box Gaming
to link game in same way Dual-link PS4 like a Game of the Loading

3 out of 5 eggs Amazing screen, poor development

Pros: The screen is huge! It provides all the benefits of having 2 monitors without the annoying bezel gap between them.
    The colors are very rich.

Cons: NO REMOTE! This sounds trivial, but the menus are difficult to navigate and the built-in speakers mean a remote is more than a luxury.

If the monitor stops receiving a signal from the selected input (eg the computer turns off), the monitor is completely unresponsive for at least 10 sec to the click of the button. A common sequence is to turn off one computer and switch inputs to a second computer. Doing so takes 20 sec!

The menus are annoying at best, but more commonly they are down right frustrating. On first click of the menu button, there are a short list of options (reader mode, dual link, menu, and power). The lack of input being immediately accessed is frustrating.

The construction is shoddy. The bottom plate is pealing away at the corners. It isn't the end of the world, but for the price they could at least put the bezel together well.

Bottom Line: I would not recommend this monitor to a friend, but I would highly recommend a monitor this size.

4 out of 5 eggs Beautiful monitor, software could use some work

Pros: - The wide screen allows for easy split screens to simulate two 4:3 monitors.
    - DVI, HDMI, and display port
    - USB ports
    - Decent OSD controls

Cons: - The software that comes with the monitor for window snapping options crashes after the monitor wakes from sleep. Not a huge problem but annoying if you start to like the triple screen or other convenient layouts.

Bottom Line: Not a con of the monitor itself, but be aware that if you do a lot of gaming, most games don't support 3440 x 1440 resolution so you'll get black bars on the side of your monitor (unless you use some widescreen fixing software). For the games that do support that resolution it's freaking awesome. Also I personally like the clean aesthetic of a single monitor in my home versus the hydra of monitors I used to have. If that's what your going for without losing the benefit multiple monitors, I would definitely recommend this monitor.

5 out of 5 eggs Very little light bleed here.

Pros: -Tons of on-screen real estate
-21:9 / 3440x1440p is my favorite thing ever
    -Crystal clear picture quality
-Very sturdy stand (No wobble at all), very heavy

Cons: Light bleed on bottom left corner. It's not THAT bad...the only time I ever notice it is when my PC first boots up and has the Krait Z97 bios screen (which is all black). It's only in the bottom left corner, and it's a relatively small area. Gaming, movie watching, desktop usage. It's not even noticeable.

I know it's worse for others, but it's been a non-issue for me.
