    just ok

Not suitable for Rad usage IMO, doesn't push as much air as you would think, I own two of these and they they're both just kind of blah. Currently using both as intake fans and am just not that impressed. Read more

3 out of 5 eggs Not recommended for restrictive intakes.

Pros: Excellent flow focus. Very quiet. Very good build quality. Includes speed control cable.

Cons: Flow-focusing vanes restrict fan output. Combined with a restrictive intake, there is very little airflow at full speed. Doesn't spin fast enough to compensate.

Bottom Line: Used briefly in an NZXT H440. Outside the case or with the front panels and filters off these fans pushed air in a very nice column that made it all the way through the case with little loss in power.

However, once you add an air filter, this cuts down on the air velocity noticeably. It's still pretty good at this point.

Add in the closed-off front panel you typically find in silent cases and this fan becomes anemic and is unable to deliver satisfactory airflow.

The problem is that the focus-flow vanes are restrictions themselves. Add in restrictions from the front or even more restriction at the back (heatsinks and radiators) and this fan is unable to deliver good airflow.

I recommend using this fan as a case fan only. And in a case with little airflow restriction (ie, Silverstone's Fortress or Raven cases, CM HAF cases, etc). You will notice that fans that do have focus-flow vanes (Noctua NF-F12, some Delta fans) have fewer of them to reduce restriction. The Deltas in particular are really good because they spin fast enough that they power through restrictions.

5 out of 5 eggs Fantastic fan

Pros: Very high static pressure. Great for radiators and for front intakes.
Incredibly low noise. I'm using it on 12V right now and I can't hear a thing. If you can, there are 7V and 5V adaptors that come with it.
That strange air channeling thing works like a charm. Have it pointed right at my CPU heatsink. Lowers temps by a few degrees.
    Comes with rubber fan mounts.
    UV reactive.

    Cons: None.

Bottom Line: When I get more money, I'm intending on buying a few more.
Also, I bought them for $14. I don't know whether or not their list price of $22 would be a good deal. May just want to go with Noctua in that price range.

5 out of 5 eggs Excellent for Watercooling

    Pros: High static pressure
    Easy install
    Casing is quite nice

    Cons: Can't think of any

Bottom Line: -Replaced 2 Aerocool Sharks; the worked well enough, but the Air penetrators are much better for cooling a radiator.

5 out of 5 eggs quiet and powerful

Pros: Powerful air penetrator keeps my quad cores at 1 celsius on idle and under 25 under load.
    It rapidly cools the CPU.
    Bundled wires.
    Cool look.
    So quiet.

    Cons: None really.

4 out of 5 eggs Good but not Great

    Pros: - High static pressure
    - Very quiet
    - Got 2 during the 20% off all fans promo, so combined price was fairly cheap.
    - Nice sleeving.

Cons: - A bit weak in airflow, I am aware it does 35CFM max, but still weaker than I expected it to be overall.
    - Molex connector on the fan doesn't have both male/female connectors
    - Tested it in an open air environment where I had a piece of paper a meter away and the fan barely moves the paper just to see the level of effectiveness it brought.

Bottom Line: It's not a bad fan, but fulfills a certain niche for a case intake fan, some may try it on a heatsink or radiator due to it's static pressure (I've tried it on a Thermalright Silver Arrow) but I don't think it does enough to warrant usage there. I got 2 of these to basically put onto the side of my HAF 932's side panel to intake air to cool my video card, mobo and cpu a bit more, but results are probably 0.5-1c better than the stock 200/230mm CM fan that came with the case. A bit disappointing but it wasn't too bad. As long as these fans are used for intake even at 12v they're rather quiet. Don't expect much more from them though. I may try the AP181's some day and just use some ghetto zipties to help it stick onto the HAF 932 side panel, hopefully those yield better results.

4 out of 5 eggs Not Bad Or Great

Pros: Feels slightly heavier and more solid than the avg. fan (probably because of the extra plastic for the grille), cable sleeve used has a pretty tight weave which is good if you want your case interior to look tidy, voltage adapter cable (should come with all fans, I thnk)

Cons: "The AP121 was designed for use as a case intake fan where cooling object at a distance is required. At 1500rpm, the AP121 is designed as a quiet alternative to much faster spinning fans."

Not entirely true in my experience. I used it as intended, to intake cooler air towards my CPU heatsink over a distance of about 6 inches. It worked, but not as well as an Enermax Magma, though the Magma is louder.

Bottom Line: If you're going to get a Silverstone AP fan thinking it will move a good amount of air, get the 180mm (which is supposed to be GREAT), or try the 140mm. This fan is OK, but falls kind of short compared to those 2.

3 out of 5 eggs just ok

Pros: UV reactive, fairly quite, sleeved.

Cons: Not suitable for Rad usage IMO, doesn't push as much air as you would think, I own two of these and they they're both just kind of blah. Currently using both as intake fans and am just not that impressed.

Bottom Line: I also own 4 of the 140mm fans of this model and they are waaay better. I completely recommend those there the same price and worth it. These I can't really recommend because they are to expensive for the amount of delivered performance. If I could do it again I would have got the Gentle Typhoons.

5 out of 5 eggs Great for radiators

Pros: Quiet and performs well. blue fins look nice and has a really nice braided black sleeve. comes with a molex to 5v-7v-12v adapter.

    Cons: none

Bottom Line: Overall a great product for intake fans and radiator fans. high static pressure and i noticed a 2-3 degree drops because of it from my previous fans on my radiator. Definitely getting another one when i upgrade to a 360 rad.
