JMS580 is a USB 3.1 Gen 2 to SATA 6Gb/s bridge controller between USB host and SATA storage device. TheUSB 3.1 Gen 2 interface offers data transfer speed up to 10Gbps, doubling the USB 3.1 Gen 1 data rate.
With proper setting, the chip can be configured as Type-C to 5 ports SATA 6Gbps Port.
