The Ethernet cable goes from the non-PoE switch into the Injector. A separate Ethernet cable goes with PoE from the Injector to the broader network. Typically, the Injector is placed next to the switch. Power is delivered to the Injector from a cord (ordered separately) plugged into a local outlet
