The Alphacool Core 10x 4-Pin PWM Splitter with SATA Power Connector is a fan splitter for up to ten 4-pin PWM fans, controlled from one mainboard fan header and powered by a SATA plug. The fans may have a total power consumption of 54W (4.5A) at most.
The splitter offers the possibility to control up to ten fans at the same time using the mainboard via PWM. Alphacool says that, thanks to its compact design, it can be used even in the tightest spaces and enables coordinated cable management.
The adapter cable supplied runs from the 4-pin connector marked MB directly to a free fan connector on the mainboard. A SATA plug of the PC power supply goes into the PWR port and feeds the fans. The first fan is then connected to the master port, and from this fan the speed will be read in the future. The other fans go on sockets 2-10, and the speed of all fans will be controlled by the master fan. The manual says to unplug the power cord from the wall socket before opening the computer.
The Velcro tape included in the scope of delivery lets the splitter be installed anywhere in the computer housing in a space-saving manner. One adhesive side sticks under the splitter and the other to the case, and the Velcro layer lets you detach it again.
A free 4-pin fan header on the mainboard, a free SATA power plug and 4-pin PWM fans.
