Alphacool Core 11x 3-Pin DRGB Splitter with SATA Power Connector, Black (25669)

The Alphacool Core 11x 3-Pin DRGB Splitter with SATA Power Connector is an aRGB splitter with eleven 3-pin channels (5V) for controlling digitally addressable RGB elements. It takes its signal from one internal RGB header on the mainboard and its power from a SATA plug of the PC power supply.

What the lighting needs

The included aRGB mainboard cable connects the splitter to the header. Up to 11 aRGB elements can be plugged into the controller, as long as their total power consumption stays within the maximum. The SATA cable carries the load, and thus the connected elements are supplied with sufficient power.

On the motherboard side, the aRGB output must be a 3 pin terminal and not a 4 pin one: the manual warns that damage can result from an improper connection. It has no fan ports. For fans, the Core 6x 4-Pin PWM/DRGB Splitter has six aRGB ports and six 4-pin PWM ports.

Mounting

The box also includes a self-adhesive Velcro tape that allows the splitter to be positioned anywhere in the case. Two protective films come off it, one to stick the tape under the controller and one to stick the controller to the case.
