Alphacool describes this ES part as a screw-on sleeve made of brass: a 1/4" thread on one side, a hose thickness of 8/5 mm on the other. Its data sheet adds one point, that the fitting is meant for tight spaces. Alphacool's shop now lists the part as "ES 8/5 and 8/6mm compression Fitting", while its technical data and data sheet name 8/5 mm only.

• Alphacool's note on application: please use this fitting only in conjunction with clear, transparent water cooling fluids. The particles and additives in Pastel liquids can clog water cooling products such as radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, and permanently damage them. Voiding the manufacturer's warranty can be the result as well.
