The Alphacool Core 1 LT Black is a CPU water block for AMD AM4 and AM5 and for Intel LGA 1700 and LGA 1851. It is the light version of the Core 1: a nickel-plated copper base housed in a black polymer casing.
Alphacool adds one caution to its compatibility list: the Eiszapfen PRO 16mm HardTube fittings cannot be used with this CPU cooler. Its manual gives 24 mm as the largest diameter a connection at the IN and OUT ports may have.
The CPU Brackets AMD Set and the four AMD threaded bolts are for AM4 and AM5. The CPU Brackets INTEL Set, the Core Backplate and the four INTEL threaded bolts are for the Intel sockets, which Alphacool lists as LGA 1700 and LGA 1851. Neither side needs a separately sold bracket.
The new mounting system is also included, and Alphacool says it simplifies installation with Intel and AMD processors. It has been revised and, compared to previous Alphacool models, requires fewer screws. On an Intel board the pre-assembly of the backplate (Intel) with four spacers is done first. The thermal paste is applied to the CPU after that. Then the matching mounting frame is put on the cooler and fastened with four nuts on the spacers. On an AMD board the manual has you remove the two-piece retention frame first, and on both platforms its instruction is to hand tighten only.
The block has two G1/4 threads in its acetal top. Both take the compression fittings for your tube size, which are not in the box. There is no lighting to connect: the manual supplies its ARGB adapter only with the aRGB variant. To run, the block needs a pump and a radiator in the same loop.
