The Alphacool Core Distro Plate 280 VPP/D5 - Right with VPP D5 Apex Pump is a 280 mm distro plate with a 360ml reservoir and Alphacool's VPP Apex pump in the box. It is made of acrylic, has nine G1/4 ports, one of them a drain port, and takes a D5 or VPP pump. The same plate comes as the Left version with pump and as the Right version without a pump.

Core Design

Alphacool calls its distro plate with integrated pump an absolute must-have for all custom water cooling systems. With its core design, the maker says, it is not only an absolute eye-catcher but also a functional masterpiece. What it does is simplify the construction and planning of complex water loops, and it offers uncomplicated installation.

The plate is made of what Alphacool calls high-quality acrylic and is fitted with chrome-plated G1/4 brass connections. These have been recessed and deliberately not screwed in, to minimize the risk of cracks and leaks while increasing stability. Each connector is made of two parts that have an O-ring and counter each other when mounted in the acrylic. According to Alphacool this not only ensures absolute leak proofing of each connector, but also allows for the clean and functional look of Alphacool's Core Design series.

What the loop needs

The pump, its O-ring, the four M4x22 pump screws and an Allen key are in the box. For pump installation the manual's steps are: insert the O-ring, screw on the pump and tighten the screws with 1.5Nm. The pump cable and the ARGB adapter for the lighting are connected as the manual shows.

The manual marks the ports: OUT leads from the distro plate to the component, IN comes back from the component to the plate. It asks you to choose the port closest to your GPU configuration. Every port in use takes one G1/4 fitting. Three G1/4 plugs and the plug tool are in the box for ports you leave closed.

Notes

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
