The Alphacool Core Temperature Sensor G1/4 with C/F Display - Deep Black is an inline water temperature sensor with two G1/4 internal threads and a separate color display. It allows you to show the temperature of the fluid inside your cooling loop, read either in degrees Celsius or Fahrenheit. A version with a flat, flexible sensor is the Core Temperature Sensor with C/F Display.
Alphacool describes the sensor as very compact. Thanks to its two threads it can be integrated into any loop, and it does not matter whether the system is equipped with hoses or hard tubes. Using an adapter with a G1/4 external thread, it can also be used on all exposed G1/4 threaded openings on the radiator, reservoir, graphics card cooler or CPU cooler.
The sensor is a classic NTC 10 kOhm thermistor. Its cable has a length of approx. 97 cm, which Alphacool says offers enough possibilities for a comfortable installation. Power is supplied via a 55 cm long cable that carries one male and one female 4-pin Molex connector. The readable temperature range is between -50 and 110 °C, with a possible deviation of 0.1 °C. Thanks to the available color display, a color scale helps you keep track of critical temperature ranges at any time. Additional software for reading out the temperature ranges is not required.
Both ends are internal threads, so the sensor takes two G1/4 fittings to sit in a tube run. To screw it straight onto a port instead, use a male to male adapter. The display needs a free 4-pin Molex plug from the power supply.
