The Alphacool Eisstation 80 DC-LT Reservoir is a pump top with an expansion tank for the DC-LT pump series. It measures 50.62 x 50.62 x 77 mm and has three G1/4 connections. It belongs to Alphacool's Enterprise Solutions series and even fits 2U server racks, depending on the installation variant. No pump is in the box: a DC-LT pump is ordered separately.
Alphacool states that the entire ice station is made of acetal, making it extremely durable. Filling, on the other hand, is easier than on the smaller versions, because easy spray bottles or funnels can be used through the 25 mm large filling opening. If the pump top is used together with the reservoir, the inlet is located on the side of the reservoir and the outlet on the side of the pump top. Should IN and OUT have to run in a certain direction, the expansion tank can also be disassembled and rotated to any position. If the reservoir is not used, there is an additional input on the opposite side of the OUT.
A velcro mat is included, with which the station can be fixed to any position without losing its compact design. Unlike the other ice station of the series, this one has mounting feet in the box, with which the height can be adjusted. An assembly in 30 degrees or 90 degrees angle is possible with them. The included decoupling feet are there so that the volume can be reduced.
The tank has three G1/4 connections. Two are used and the third takes the G1/4 screw plug in the box. Tube connects through G1/4 fittings. The installation of the pump is the same as with the other two articles of the series: remove the bottom plate and insert the O-ring. Then the pump is screwed down and the plate attached again, so the pump ends up completely covered by the top and protected from all sides.
The smallest part of the series is the Eisstation DC-LT Solo Top, an extremely compact pump top that Alphacool calls very powerful together with the DC-LT pump. Alphacool says it plays to its strengths wherever there is little space, or where a pump should be stored to save space. Compatible with the DC-LT pump series, it is also well suited for small water cooling systems and even fits in 1U server racks. If the upper aluminum plate is removed, that top can be extended by a surge tank, another name for the expansion tank. Under the plate is also an insert for a bubble-down filter, which minimizes the suction of air bubbles. Alphacool calls the assembly very practical and versatile: the Solo Top's accessories include a Velcro mat as well, so the top can be fixed anywhere in the housing. According to Alphacool the velcro mat adheres very well and gives a secure hold. Those who prefer to use mounting feet with the Solo Top can order them separately and install it at a 30 degree or 90 degree angle.
