    LoraTap Wireless Light Switch Kit adds a wireless wall control where the original lighting layout no longer works for the way you use the space. Use it when a switch is missing, hidden behind a door or furniture, too far from an entrance, or when a closet, attic, basement or utility light still relies on a pull chain. Put control near a garage or basement entry so the light can be turned on before you step into a dark space, at the other end of a stairway, beside the bed, near a workbench, or indoors for a porch or patio light. The receiver is the only part that needs electrical wiring. Install it where constant line power, neutral and the load are available, such as at the light or exhaust-fan wiring or in a nearby accessible junction box. The wireless remote does not need a new wall box or a switch cable back to the receiver. For an existing finished room, this can avoid opening drywall, fishing new control wire or adding conduit simply to move or add a switch location. The rectangular remote uses one button to toggle the connected load ON and OFF. Its size and proportions are designed to look natural beside the wall switches commonly found in US homes, so a new control point can blend into the room rather than look like a separate gadget. Attach the included base to the wall with adhesive and dock the remote magnetically; lift it off anytime for handheld use. The remote itself can also hold directly to suitable magnetic metal such as a steel tool cabinet or metal shelving. A replaceable CR2032 coin-cell battery is included. No Wi-Fi, app, account or hub is required. The remote communicates directly with the receiver over 915MHz RF with a range of up to about 100 ft. The signal can work through common interior walls and doors, with actual range depending on building materials, metal enclosures and installation conditions. Everyday control is a physical button, making the system useful in garages, basements, attics, stairways, hallways, closets, bedrooms, workshops and utility areas where a simple local control point is the goal. For standard US 120V AC home circuits, the receiver is rated up to 10A and provides ON/OFF switching. Use it with compatible ceiling lights, chandeliers, pendant lights, wall sconces, closet and pantry lights, garage and shop lights, exhaust fans and ventilation fans. Compatible lighting includes incandescent, halogen, CFL, fluorescent and LED bulbs or fixtures. It is not a dimmer and does not provide fan-speed control. For porch, patio, yard-facing or garage exterior lighting, keep the receiver in a dry, protected, accessible wiring location and place the remote indoors or in another protected location. Remote and receiver are factory paired for normal use after installation. The system can expand later as the room or household changes. Add another compatible remote when the same load needs control from a second doorway, the other end of a stairway, beside the bed or near a workbench. Add compatible receivers when one remote should switch several separate loads together. A simple one-control installation can therefore grow into multi-location or grouped control without running new wall-switch cable. This kit is especially useful in older homes, finished basements, converted attics, garages that become workshops, rooms where new storage or furniture blocks the old switch, and remodels where a small control problem does not justify reopening finished walls.
