Optical Image Stabilization provides up to 5.5 stops of shake correction, or up to 6 stops through Coordinated IS with compatible cameras. One UD element and one aspherical element help control aberrations, while Nano USM provides fast, quiet autofocus. A 0.41 x maximum magnification at 400mm supports detailed close-up shooting.
