Its bright f/ 1.2 maximum aperture supports low-light shooting and shallow depth of field, while an aspherical element helps control spherical aberration and distortion. Super Spectra coating helps reduce flare and ghosting, and the ring-type USM system provides precise autofocus with full-time manual focus. The rounded 8-blade diaphragm supports smooth out-of-focus rendering.
