The Alphacool Core 120mm Fan PWM 4000rpm is a 120 x 120 x 25 mm fan with a 4-pin PWM connector and a control range from 0 to 4000 rpm. It has no aRGB lighting and is suitable for radiators, CPU coolers and as a case fan.
Alphacool calls its Core 120mm a quiet and efficient fan with a wide control range. Since it can be controlled via a PWM signal, the fan is not only one for CPU coolers or radiators. Thanks to what Alphacool calls excellent performance values (throughput & static pressure), it can also be used as a case fan. The double-bearing fan axis is smooth-running, which Alphacool says enables a long service life and quiet operation. If you are looking for a powerful fan without aRGB lighting (illumination), Alphacool says you will find it in this version of the Core 120mm. The next step down in the same range is the Core 120mm Fan PWM 3000rpm.
A 4-pin PWM connector controls the fan, and the cable is 40 cm long. This allows the fan to be connected directly to the mainboard (motherboard) or to a special, dedicated controller. That works without using additional adapter cables or extensions.
Via the 4-pin PWM connection the speed can be set anywhere from 0 to 4000 rpm. At maximum speed Alphacool gives an airflow of 119.8 CFM, paired with what it calls a high static pressure of 12.67 mm/H2O. Alphacool says this makes the fan perfect for mounting on radiators of a water cooling system or for ventilating a case.
