This SATA power and data cable 2-in-1 cable uses 6Gbps transmission speed, much faster than ATA and PATA, also known as: Serial ATA, SATA or S-ATA. It is a computer bus interface used to connect the host bus adapter with mass storage devices such as optical drives and hard disks. This interface is usually used to connect a hard drive to a host system, such as a computer motherboard.
SATA III Data with IDE Cable
SATA is a computer bus. It uses a serial method to transmit data, uses an embedded clock method, and has stronger error correction capabilities. It checks the transmission instructions (not just data). If errors are found, they will be corrected automatically. This greatly improves the reliability of data transmission. The signal part of the serial SATA interface is composed of 7 cables, of which 3 ground wires can weaken and eliminate the interference between serial cables, and the other 4 are two-by-two differential signal wires, which respectively play the role of sending and receiving.
There are 15 cables in the SATA 15 pin power supply part, which provide 3.3V respectively. The cable pin assignments are shown in Fig.
