A modular reservoir series
The HEATKILLER Tube Series is Watercool's modular system of high end reservoirs, each built around a tube made from borosilicate glass. Modular means that each part can be exchanged separately later on: the DDC bottom of this version, for example, can be swapped for a base that takes a D5 pump. The outstanding features Watercool listed for the series are described here, with the product information for this size.
Three sizes, three versions
To account for the different space availability in current cases, the glass tubes come in 100 mm, 150 mm and 200 mm. That gives a matching tube for every system from mini-ITX to a big tower, and this is the short one. Besides a standalone version, there are versions with direct connections for pumps. They support the D5 and DDC pumps by Lowara (formerly known as Laing, now Xylem) in their own pump chambers. If you need more room, the same version comes as the HEATKILLER Tube 150 DDC.
What the loop needs
Two G1/4 ports take two fittings for your tube size. The motor of an original DDC pump goes into the bottom: remove the pump body with its four torx screws, and only the pump motor (rotor and stator) is used from then on.

Notes
- When installing or removing the DDC pump, take care not to squeeze or otherwise damage its cable; it leaves through the small lateral notch in the pump cover. Put the O-ring back in its intended position before the cover goes on.
- The bottom is held by four M4x35 DIN956 screws; lay the empty reservoir on its side to reach them.
- Check all seals before the first start-up; with squeezed or damaged O-rings the reservoir must not be used.
- The glass tubes use O-rings of 4 mm or 5 mm to make up for length tolerance. Reuse the same strength you found in your reservoir. Watercool's replacement kit contains both strengths, and the O-rings for the glass tube are in stock as a spare part.
- Drain the reservoir and take it out of the loop completely before you alter it.
