The HDMI eARC Audio Extractor is an ARC converter designed to route audio from a compatible smart TV to external sound equipment. It converts audio received through the TV's HDMI eARC/ARC connection into HDMI audio-only, optical Toslink, coaxial SPDIF and 3.5mm stereo outputs.
This adapter is useful when a TV lacks the output required by an existing soundbar, amplifier, powered speaker or home theater receiver. Multiple output options provide a practical bridge between newer televisions and audio equipment with different digital or analog inputs.
The television must support HDMI ARC or eARC and have the applicable feature enabled in its settings. Available channel formats, volume control and simultaneous playback depend on the source content, TV configuration, connected audio equipment and CEC compatibility. This device extracts audio returned by the TV; it is not presented as an HDMI video-input switch.
Can I connect an eARC TV to an older amplifier without HDMI eARC?
Yes. The extractor can route audio from a compatible TV's ARC/eARC port to optical Toslink, coaxial SPDIF or 3.5mm stereo, provided the amplifier has a matching input.
Does this HDMI eARC audio extractor support surround sound?
It supports up to 7.1-channel audio through the HDMI audio-only output and up to 5.1-channel transmission through compatible optical or coaxial SPDIF connections. Actual output depends on the source format and connected equipment.
Can all four audio outputs work at the same time?
The adapter supports simultaneous output through HDMI audio-only, optical, coaxial and 3.5mm connections. Playback compatibility can vary with the selected audio format and receiving devices.
Can I adjust the volume with my TV remote?
CEC volume control is supported for compatible ARC/eARC systems and the 3.5mm output. Both the TV and connected equipment must support and enable the relevant CEC functions.
Will it work with PS5 or Xbox gaming systems?
It can extract audio from console content routed through a compatible TV's ARC/eARC connection. Console, TV and audio-format settings determine the available channel output.
