The Alphacool Eiszapfen G1/4 90° Dual Rotary Male to Female L-Connector - Black is a 90° angle adapter for water cooling loops, one fitting per pack. It has a G1/4 external screw thread on one side and a G1/4 internal thread on the other side. Its special feature is that both screw threads are rotatable, allowing for what Alphacool calls maximum flexibility.

The Eiszapfen series

Alphacool lists this model as a 90° Angle Adapter and calls its Eiszapfen Connector Series the high-end execution of these tried-and-true connectors. By its account every requirement you could have of a connector is met with this series: highflow, form, processing and color. A refusal to compromise in development and production is what Alphacool says has made the series into what it is. Components are available in brilliant chrome or a deep, matte black, and Alphacool says either will fit excellently into any system.

Coating and logo

According to Alphacool, a special procedure binds the outer coating firmly to the surface, improving the longevity of the intense color and preventing any chipping or peeling of the coating. Every connector now has the Alphacool logo, which along with their distinctive shape makes them unmistakable.

O-rings

For anyone looking for colorful options, Alphacool's text says the O-rings in the shipment come in three colors, while its scope of delivery lists the adapter alone. Where a UV-light option is available in the case, these will even light up in the corresponding color.

What the loop needs

The external thread screws into any G1/4 port, and the internal thread takes one G1/4 fitting.

• Use only clear, transparent water cooling fluids. Alphacool warns that the particles and additives in pastel liquids can clog and permanently damage radiators, pumps, coolers and hoses, which can void the manufacturer's warranty.
