It features a sleeve locking mechanism and is compatible with Automotive Style tools and equipment, conforming to the Tru-Flate-Automotive interchange standard. Constructed from steel with a zinc-plated finish, it is intended for sealed connection of air, water, or fluid lines when installed using the specified fittings and seal material. The coupling is rated for use with hose sizes having a 1/4 inch inner diameter (as specified) and has a maximum working pressure of 500 psi, operating across a temperature range from -40°F to 250°F.
