This interface converter is designed for installing a compatible EDSFF E1.S solid-state drive through a U.2 SFF-8639 connection. It is intended for qualified desktop, server, workstation and data-center storage configurations that support PCIe-based NVMe devices.
The adapter provides format and connector conversion between an E1.S SSD and a compatible U.2 interface. It does not convert an NVMe drive to SATA and does not add NVMe capability to an unsupported host. Compatibility depends on the drive, host connector, PCIe lane routing, firmware, mounting space and thermal design.
Before ordering, confirm that your SSD uses the E1.S form factor rather than another EDSFF format. Also confirm that the host U.2 connection supports PCIe/NVMe signaling. Physical connector fit alone does not guarantee electrical, firmware or operating-system compatibility. Secure mounting and adequate SSD cooling are the responsibility of the system integrator.
Can this adapter connect an E1.S NVMe SSD to a U.2 port?
It is designed to connect a compatible EDSFF E1.S NVMe SSD through a compatible U.2 SFF-8639 interface. Verify PCIe/NVMe support on both sides.
Does this adapter convert an NVMe SSD to SATA?
No. It is intended for PCIe/NVMe interface routing and form-factor conversion, not NVMe-to-SATA protocol conversion.
Will it work with a P4511 E1.S SSD?
It is intended for compatible P4511 E1.S applications, but model designation alone does not guarantee compatibility. Confirm the drive form factor, connector, host interface, firmware and physical clearance.
Can I use this adapter in a desktop computer or server?
Yes, when the system provides a compatible U.2 SFF-8639 PCIe/NVMe connection, sufficient mounting space and suitable cooling.
Does the adapter increase SSD speed?
No. It provides interface and form-factor conversion; performance depends on the SSD, PCIe link, host controller, firmware and system configuration.
