The MCS9990 is a single-channel multi-function PCI Express bridge that connects to 4 USB 2.0 host controllers, each with dedicated bandwidth, allowing all 4 USB 2.0 host controllers to share the 2.5Gbps PCI Express bus bandwidth.
Supported Operating Modes:
USB Host Mode and OTG Mode selectable via the device mode selection pin.
USB Host Mode supports four USB 2.0 host ports with four corresponding USB host controllers.
OTG Mode supports two USB 2.0 host ports, one USB OTG port, and provides the option to select GPIO or ISA interface functions.
Additional Features:
Four USB 2.0 host ports are integrated with on-chip transceivers, supporting four Enhanced Host Controller Interfaces (EHCI) and four Open Host Controller Interfaces (OHCI).
The USB OTG port is integrated with an OTG PHY and supports both host and device operation.
