RPi 5 M. 2 HAT+ is a PCIe to M. 2 SSD expansion board designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi 5. It allows you to connect an M. 2 NVMe SSD to the Raspberry Pi 5's PCIe 2.0 slot, expanding storage capacity or booting the system from the NVMe SSD.; Standard Kit supports the installation of the official active cooler and includes mounting holes.
Note: Ensure correct cable connections; otherwise, the expansion board may be damaged. Compact Kit features a compact layout and can be stacked with the official Pi 5 case. It does not support the Pi 5 active cooler.; Standard Kit is compatible with 2230/2242 form factor M. 2 SSDs, supports the M. 2 NVMe SSD protocol and Gen2/Gen3 modes, and supports booting the Pi 5 from the SSD. Compact Kit only supports 2230 form factor SSDs.; The M. 2 HAT+ adapter board converts the PCIe interface on the Raspberry Pi 5 to an M. 2 M-Key interface.; The M. 2 HAT+ can provide up to 3A of current. It uses the Raspberry Pi HAT+ specification, so Raspberry Pi OS can automatically detect the HAT+ and its connected devices
