As the newest additions to the IBM System x family of 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch SATA and SAS drives, the 7,200 rpm, 10,000 rpm, and 15,000 rpm 6 Gbps 2.5-inch drives and the 7,200 rpm 6 Gbps 3.5-inch hot-swap and simple-swap NL SATA and hot-swap NL SAS HDDs offer the highest performance options and provide a wider selection of choices to satisfy a wide range of applications. These new drives are positioned at the top of the IBM SATA and SAS NL HDD line.

The new 7,200 rpm 500 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB, and 3 TB 6 Gbps NL SAS and SATA HDDS provide 3.5-inch form factor options. The SAS and SATA drives are available in hot-swap and simple-swap versions, while the 3 TB SAS is available in hot-swap only configuration.
