Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme is a thermal grease designed for overclocking, for use on CPUs, GPUs, notebooks and ICs, here in the 9ml (33.84g) jar. The same paste also comes in 2g and 6g.

Who it is for
The paste shows its true capabilities in cryogenic environments such as extreme overclocking with liquid nitrogen. Working in cooperation with leading engineers and pro-overclockers, Thermal Grizzly made sure it works in ambient application such as water cooling as well as under liquid nitrogen. The manufacturer describes it as an extremely high performance thermal paste and as "our new high-end product". It is based on the well known Kryonaut paste, which we stock too.
What sets it apart
According to Thermal Grizzly, the maximum thermal conductivity was accomplished due to three things: the smallest particle size, a thinner minimum layer height and improved low temperature application. Additional aluminum oxide nano particles, which are electrically non-conductive, and the improved application are what evolved the paste into that product. Its data sheet adds that the small particles allow for better filling of microscopic imperfections. The paste needs no curing, and long-term durability is among the properties the manufacturer names.
Applying it
Clean the CPU heat spreader and the cooler with a dry cloth or high-percentage isopropanol first; old paste comes off with Thermal Grizzly's acetone-based Remove cleaner. Spread the paste with one of the included spatulas, very slowly and with a little pressure, into a layer as thin as possible that still covers the entire heat spreader. A plastic card with a straight edge also works, never a metal one.
Thermal Grizzly has changed the packaging design of the 9ml jar. Both the old and the new packaging may still be in circulation, so the jar you receive can look different from the pictures.
