This third-party SAS HBA card is compatible with LSI 9300-16i class adapters and uses Dual LSI/Broadcom SAS3008 controllers to deliver up to 12Gb/s SAS performance with a PCIe 3.0 x8 host interface. It provides 4× internal Mini-SAS HD (SFF-8643) connectors for direct attach up to 16 drives, and supports expanding large arrays via an external SAS Expander. Ideal for JBOD / pass-through storage in ZFS, FreeNAS/TrueNAS, unRAID, Proxmox, and ESXi home-lab NAS builds. Includes 4× SFF-8643 to 4× SAS breakout cables. Note: cables in box are for SAS drives only (not compatible with SATA drives). To connect SATA drives, use SFF-8643 to 4× SATA cables (sold separately) or our matched HBA + cable kit.
