Traditional grip heads came in the "joystick" configuration, with the ball on the tripod, the grip straight up in the air, and the camera mounted on top of that. By placing the camera mount directly on the ball, the 3POD Pistol Grip Ballhead maintains the stability of the tripod base regardless of configuration and orientation. The versatile 3POD Pistol Grip Ballhead can be configured in three ways: Righty, Lefty, and Joystick. The camera mount plate can be moved to create a grip head designed for grip with the right hand or left hand, or the camera mount plate can be set on the end of the grip in the traditional "Joystick" configuration. Additionally, the camera mount plate can be mounted at 3 possible angles in the Righty or Lefty setup for maximum comfort and grip control. Change the Plate Receiver PositionThe ease of placing the Arca QR Receiver on the Pistol Grip is quick and straightforward. Loosen the two Allen key screws counterclockwise. Remove the Arca Plate Receiver and place it over the area you wish to mount. Replace the screws and righty-tighty the bolts in the two mating holes, and go for it! Steady, now... The tension control on the grip head can also be adjusted. This allows less pressure to move the ballhead with lighter rigs or firmer support when mounting heavier camera and lens combinations. O! The Joy of It All! Once you experience shooting with the pistol grip, you feel one with the piece.
The grip will become second nature to your way of work, providing you with freedom of movement and confidence you have rarely experienced. At least without a license.
