The disc drive solely functions for data transfer; users may select compatible playback software on their computer. We recommend the free VLC media player supporting most mainstream video formats.
Are format and clarity related to the optical drive?
Format and clarity aren't related to optical drives. They simply transfer/read data - file formats depend on computer compatibility.
