    Excellent for Photoshop/Lightroom

I built a desktop geared specifically for Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4.1 photo editing with this chip. I didn't go for the 3770K as I don't plan on overclocking (this is an editing box only, no games). I'm very happy with it's performance; ... Read more

    Good CPU

Dead fan. BIOS gives CPU fan error, and the fan does quarter turns. After about 5 minutes of waiting it sometimes started to spin. Read more

    5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: It runs pretty good. I never once felt the need to over clock. Everything from rendering to gaming, this CPU does the job in spades. Some of the high end boards offer overclocking ram. Didn't have any issues.

    Cons: None.

5 out of 5 eggs This one will last for years to come!

Pros: I had a great deal for this core i-7 so I went with this Ivy Bridge instead of the 4th gen Haswell because for one, i'm not going to be doing any overclocking, that's out of my ability at the moment, and it is also made on the same 22nm manufacturing process so the performance difference between a 3770 and a 4770 is the integrated graphics (which I do not use), Intel® TSX-NI (which helps is thread scaling is certain situations), and a couple of features like OS Guard and something with photos, so there was no point for me to spend more money on an ever so slightly (if that), processor when I could grab a nice deal on a top-end cpu!

    Cons: N/A

Bottom Line: Since this is not an unlocked version the cpu, it will run at 3.9Ghz a lot of the time, and all of the time when playing games, so the stock cooler does one hell of a job on its own; my max temps never really reach above low-mid 50's and the cpu idles at about mid-low 30's

5 out of 5 eggs 10/10 Would Buy Again

Pros: Able to be automatically overclocked with Asus's AI Suite II.
Stable at 4.1 GHz overclock with no aftermarket cooling. (Case being used is an Alpha-GT3.)

    Cons: N/A

Bottom Line: This CPU has done everything I could ask and more! It is able to satisfy my needs as a casual PC user and also a PC gamer!

5 out of 5 eggs Awesome! (2 Years)

Pros: This processor has been an absolutely awesome piece of hardware. I used to render videos on another computer, but ever since I used this processor in this rig, it has cut that time into a third if not even smaller. Games run great, too. The stock cooler works just fine, all you have to do is just dust it every once in a while, though that's common practice.

    Cons: Not free.

5 out of 5 eggs Amazing

Pros: Although I made a huge jump in processor power when buying this I'm still amazed at just what this processor can do. Very happy with my buy and would recommend to anyone thinking about buying this processor to just go for it!

Cons: Most expensive part of my new PC but definitely worth it!

5 out of 5 eggs Great Processor

Pros: Never fails to impress, a great processor for the money. While not the latest and greatest, it still works like a horse.

Cons: Stock fan isn't the best (as with all others that come with intel processors,) would definitely recommend getting an aftermarket cooler.

5 out of 5 eggs Happy customer

Pros: Great CPU, this is exactly what I paid for, no less no more. I have had no issues in 3+ months of usage. Not much to say except it works well.

Cons: Stock fan sucks, as usual. I would recommend buying a good fan if you were to use your computer for 8+ hours a day every day. You shouldn't worry though, the stock fan is still good at what it is supposed to do.
