MXL Videographer's Essentials Kit
The Mobile Media Videographer's Essentials Kit is a complete audio and video recording solution. The kit is designed to work with any type of camera-equipped mobile phone. The FR-310 shotgun microphone has a directional pickup to target sound to the front of the mic and reject periphery noises. It can be used to record audio only into the phone or to add audio to video. The included cable connects the FR-310 to any mobile device with a 3.5mm jack. Once in place, the cell phone can be pivoted at any angle thanks to the multi-directional ball head mount. No more thumbs in your videos - the included bracket provides a grip well out of the way of the phone's camera lens.
Headphone Jack
The Y-cable features a headphone jack for audio monitoring or audio playback. Real time audio monitoring is available on some recording apps.
DSLR Use
The Mobile Media Videographer's Essentials Kit can also be used with a DSLR camera. Simply remove the cell phone clamp and ball head. Screw the bracket into place on the tripod mount on the bottom of the camera. You may then mount the FR-310 directly onto the camera or onto one of the cold shoe mounts on the bracket. This setup leaves two available mounts for additional accessories, like a light or camera-top monitor.
