The Avocent LongView 1000U Extender allows you to control your computer from a remote location up to 1,000 feet away from the computer. This greater distance allows you to separate your users from their computer/target devices, helping to solve the challenges such as protecting computers from hazardous work environments, and protecting computers from accidental damage or theft.
Its receiver unit connects a keyboard, monitor, mouse, speakers, microphone, and serial port device, and links up with the transmitter unit using a UTP cable. The video quality and signal strength are maintained thanks to a unique auto-tuning feature. The OSD shows critical system information. The simple transmitter and receiver design, with a compact form factor, assures ease of installation and simple deployment.
User Peripherals
Extends the keyboard, video, mouse, speakers, microphone, and serial devices up to 1,000 feet with any UTP cable type. Connects PS/2 and USB keyboard and mouse at the user station, regardless of the target device platform.
Dual Mode
The dual-mode transmitter supports a second user connection locally at the target device, or remotely up to 1,000 feet away with an additional Avocent LongView 1000 receiver unit.
Auto Tuning
Automatically compensates for video skew and signal loss by delivering clear, crisp video images up to 1,000 feet at a resolution of 1280x1024.
On-Screen Display (OSD)
Configuration and system information is easily accessed and updated via the OSD.
