Windows Display Mode and Resolutions
Mirror mode: External monitors resolution is 1920x1080 (1080P) and lower resolutions will be displayed at 60Hz.
Extend Mode: Windows supports triple display, but due to the chip's bandwidth limitation, only three screens of the four screens(including the host) will have output: HDMI + DP + HOST / HDMI + VGA + HOST / DP + VGA + HOST / HDMI + DP + VGA + HOST (Black). When three external monitors output simultaneously, they will be limited to 1920*1080@60Hz due to VGA.
MacOS Display Mode and Resolutions
macOS only supports mirror mode, but all external monitors can show different display from the host. When using only HDMI and DP ports, the maximum resolution of the display is 3840x2160 @ 30Hz. 2560x1600, 1920x1080 (1080P) and lower resolutions will be displayed at 60Hz. Note: if the VGA port is connected, the resolution of all monitors will be limited to 1920 * 1080 @ 60Hz.
Note:
1. Please make sure the USB C port of your laptop supports the DisplayPort Alt Mode before purchase 2. Display issue: For OS systems, laptops ( Macbook) are mirror mode only. 3. When you connect DP port and VGA simultaneously, the resolution for monitors is 1920 x 1080@60Hz (maximum). When you connect three monitors, The resolution might lower than 1920 x 1080@60Hz (depending on the monitor and bandwidth). 4. Please use HDMI 2.0/DP 1.2 and above cables for best performance. Shorter cables will generally produce the best results.
