2-way recording is a feature that records conversations during landline calls. Voice memo is a feature that records your own voice during standby and is not offered with this model.
How do I start 2-way recording?
During calls press the [RECORD] soft key on the base unit to start recording. The recording feature can be selected from the menu on the handset.
Can I get the base unit to announce “this call will be recorded”?
Yes. By pressing the [RECORD] button, a “Recording will start” announcement is played every time. Because it cannot be configured, the announcement cannot be deleted. For legal reasons the caller must be told that the call is being recorded.
